PUPPY TRAINING (The Gus Artiles Way) I produce my own dual-purpose patrol dog stock out of my breeding program. I start imprinting and socializing the puppies at 10 weeks of age. By the time they are 4 months old they are heavily imprinted in prey biting. The prey instinct they were born with is now full blown prey drive. The same applies for puppy ball work. If at 4 months this imprinting is not done, forget about it! It's never going to be hi-crazy drive. We offer young dogs that are reared correctly. When I provide a young dog to the military or a police department for dual-purpose work, quality is my main concern. At 9 to 10 months I'll do a preliminary x-ray of the hips & elbows to make sure they will be fine. The training here never ends. The main aspect of dealing with my kennel is I stand behind my dogs. I will replace any dog with bad hips, elbows, working ability, or temperament problems. I love and hope to improve the Belgian Malinois, and Dutch Shepherd breeds. BEAVIS
Descendent of Clip, G-Vitou, Jamie Des Deux Pottois & Son of Layla Von Christel. Beavis is a 90 pound male with a crushing bite and an explosive entry. Beavis is a dog with high prey drive, super fight drive and great defense. He is a trained police dog. Beavis is very social when he is with his handler or if he knows his handler is nearby. He is a big teddy bear with kids. He has reproduced himself in his traits very well. I have bred Beavis many times over and he has produced big strong males and females. Depending on how you rear his puppies, they are very trainable. Beavis is a dog that has crazy ball drive, retrieval drive, and hunt drive. He is a very athletic dog. Beavis can scale a 3 meter palisade and a 5 meter long jump. He hurdles 1.2 meters with ease. This dog is the most territorial dog in a fenced in area I have ever seen and functions as a serious guard dog when he is alone. He does not require a female to accompany him while guarding a fenced in area. I have used Beavis in 5 acre car lots as a guard dog. Big lots are the ultimate test for a good guard dog because it is very difficult to protect. He is very vigilant and always on guard. This makes him special for the simple reason that not all dogs can be trained to be social police dogs, territorial guard dogs, and a great stud dog.

Lee was imported from the Champagne Ardene region of France. Five months later, Lee scored a 370 out of 400 after getting a zero in the stop attack (-20 points). Lee is very strong in protection and has high retrieval drive. His temperament is very social and he is very good with children. Lee was imported from France for the purpose of producing high quality French Ring, Police Service, & Military Malinois.

E'Zorro is producing high working drive, size and power. E'Zorro is being trained as a NVBK Belgian Ring and a French ringsport dog secondly. He was imported from Belgium by Gus Artiles at 7 month of age. He was fully trained at Vom Artiles Kennel. He is to civil with the handler (Handler hard) for sport. (It is important to have a very social dog with the handler for sport. He can be civil with the decoy, but not with the handler. The social virtues of a sport dog is what allows you to clean a dog up in his guards and escort in french ring). E'Zorro will try to eat you when you try to clean him up. He is to strong for double prong panic corrections. He does not even feel them. He has extreme retrieval and hunt drive. He is very possecive. When he comes out of his cage he has to go find something to put in his mouth. Do not try to take it from him either. He always is carrying something in his mouth. If he is loose in the yard. I his master cannot pick up anything from the yard. If I do he will attack me. He thinks everything in the yard belongs to him. I have to have a leash on him to be able to do so. If he is loose with his bitches. I can't even look or much less talk to one of his females. Those are his females. His father B'Torro was shot by his owner for that same reason. (In NVBK the decoy work is different. The handler hard dog can be cleaned up with e-collars. In French ring you can clean a dog up to score high with e-collars if he is social with the handler only). That is the mission with E'Zorro. One we are into. E'Zorro has excellent agility. He jumps maximum in all of the jumps. He does 2.5 at the wall. That's as high as my wall gets. He jumps 5 meters in the long jump. 1.3 in the hurdle with the ditch. E'Zorro has a super producing gene. He is a genetic freak. He is one in a million as a stud. He is a Super Producer! You
